Organization Spotlight: Emmanuel Gospel Center

I have known the Emmanuel Gospel Center since I was a seminary student. Founded to serve and help churches to flourish,  EGC has been a pivotal organization providing training and coordination for church ministries in Boston, as well as focused research and writing on what EGC calls “The Quiet Revival” in Boston.  I took urban ministry courses here with EGC leaders, Doug and Judy Hall, back in the 1990s, just as people were beginning to understand the impact the immigrant church was making in the city of Boston.  EGC has done a tremendous job (and is continuing to do a tremendous job) lifting up the history of ethnic church planting in New England.  Their online book, New England’s Book of Acts, is a rich resource on ethnic ministries and leadership. You can find that book and many other resources on their website, www.egc.org
